If anyone sees a black ipad at the club please could you let Ludy Hills or me know. It was accidentally left there after yesterday's race. Many thanks.

(1) Races are rarely won at a portage but often lost... so keep it simple ... and bomb proof.
(2) When getting out of your boat, eliminate all unnecessary manoeuvres that aren't helping you get to the exit. So,
... stand up once
... face forwards
... don't let go of your paddles - ever!
... if you need to empty do it now!
(3) And when you get in,
... avoid a clash with another competitor and already be on the right side of your boat (you need to have done this out of the zone of any potential conflict)
.... at a beach portage there is no need to step across your boat e.g. as here step in from the left while bracing on the right - you will find your right foot presses onto the bracing paddle - try it!
