Our Clubhouse
The new Centre & Clubhouse was opened in September 2005 followed by the opening of the new gym in 2007. This impressive new facility has been designed to offer the sport of canoeing and other activities for people of all ages, all skill levels and all abilities in the Guildford and Surrey communities. Most of these activities take place after work and at weekends. The Waterside Centre is available as an attractive, relaxing and alternative venue for training, team meetings and coaching courses as well as special occasions. The Centre can offer land-based activities situated on the bank of a particularly beautiful stretch of the River Wey. The Navigation is owned and cared for by the National Trust, an independent charity which relies on the generosity of its supporters and users.
The Centre has been designed for people with disabilities and offers a large training & function hall, which can accommodate up to 200 people comfortably, office, meeting rooms, large changing and shower rooms, gym, licensed bar, kitchen and treatment room, boat storage for club canoes/kayaks and members private boats. The Centre has ample car parking space for visitors.
